Rust colored fluid in freezer

Recently we took TT to dealer for service. When dropping off, I noticed a rust colored fluid in the freezer. Thinking I had forgot something or something had leaked, I simply cleaned it up. We got TT back and camped for 5 nights. Nothing odd in freezer when we picked up camper nor when we had refrigerator on while camping. Now, after fridge off for a day, I found the same rust colored fluid in bottom of freezer. Probably about 6 oz. or so puddled.

Any ideas on what this might be?

Thanks for the update. Well, dang. Still frustrating that you now have to glue and rivet it back. Not sure, but would suggest Googleing food safe glue for a fridge and your model of fridge, or contact the manufacturer if you can't find specs online.

UPDATE - So, dealer could find nothing when we brought the unit in last week. They suggested it was either something left over from manufacturing or something had leaked in the freezer we didn't catch. At any rate, since they would not clean, I had to pop up the bottom plate which is fastened by plastic rivets and some kind of glue. Once I cleaned everything I now need to replace the rivets and figure out what kind of glue was on outer edges of bottom plate. Anyone have any ideas on glue or size/type of rivets used on these refrigerators?

Keep us posted as to what it is. I would like to know if in fact it is similar to a home fridge.

Well, this has me concerned. The TT is literally only 8 months old based on the build date. This is not my first TT and I have never seen anything like this. Will get it back to Dealer as soon as possible. They have a couple of other things to work on anyway.

I wouldn't think so. My home fridge is only 5 years old and this happened. Again they are not the same and I'm not an expert on RV fridges. Best to have it checked.

I agree. We had the same thing with our house fridge and it was the evaporator that had to be replaced. RV fridges are different than house fridges, but same concept. As said, something is rusted out inside. Get it fixed or next time you go to fire it up for a trip, it won't work, or worse it will stop working while you're on a trip.
