When I had a wheel failure the wheel actually split in half (around the rim). Of course with only 1/2 a wheel the tire went flat instantly. This was caused when a ridiculous driver forced me off of the road (necessary to avoid a head on collision) while he was trying to pass me. When I took to the ditch is when the wheel was cut in half. Yep, I guess this also counts as a Maxxis tire blowout since it cut the tire in half also :)
