Second battery option
Is there any positive to getting a second battery in my truck if it has that option?

Only if you have lots of toys, or a diesel. Diesels have electric grid heaters and/or glow plugs to suck the batteries down right before you hit the starter. Gas rigs just have the heated seats and the starter. If you have a little self control you can start it before powering the seats. ;)
