I think jimh425 was referring to distance between bed walls/tail gate posts-not the gate itself.
Yes, it seemed it was too wide at the top, but I couldn't tell from the pics how wide your camper is compared to the bed opening. On second thought though, the width of the floor is probably no more than 48-49 inches to slide between the wheel wells. With a normal tailgate width of 60 inches or so, the holder should clear by a few inches.
