I loved the Ranchos on my '99 Dodge dually. It needed them and other suspension mods.

I set them at 9 and 7, as I recall.

My '12 Ram dually carries the camper like it's a bag of groceries. No need.

Pretty good truck, pretty good camper.

I'm going with the Bilstein 4600 shocks here in a week or two.
Also for the exhaust check out MBRP or Diamond Eye.

I have the 9000's on the old F-250, loved them and put a set on the new F-350. Like everyone else says, on the truck with a camper, two thumbs up.

I tried a set on my Jeep CJ-7, nope, too stiff, even at setting #1. They don't appear to work well on lighter vehicles.

The truck is my DD in winter/ snow (4WD), and does whatever random hauling I need to do. Sometimes that's just a few pieces of lumber, or a canoe, and sometimes it's almost a cord of firewood, or a TC.

They ride well loaded at 9, and unloaded at about 3. At some level, a shock is a shock is a shock. All it does is dampen vibration. The big advantage of Ranchos to ME is that you can change the valving for different situations. I can ride around unloaded without bouncing my teeth out my skull with HD shocks, but then I can load it up and crank the shocks up appropriately so they actually DO something.

If my TC was loaded 100% of the time, I'd just go for heavy duty shocks. There'd be no advantage to the adjustability.

Ditto. 9 rear 7 front loaded. All 3 empty

I had Bilstein 5100's and they had a meltdown after only 8 miles of a wash boarded road. They were good on pavement. I switched to Ranchos and they handle the camper much better than the Bilstiens.

I have had Ranchos for about 3 years now any they work great,

Be careful with aftermarket exhausts. Some of them can put out some pretty annoying drone sounds.

I had Rancho 9000's in the last truck and loved them. I think I might try Bilstein 5100's in the new one. After about 5k miles on the Ranchos the rears went limp. They did replace them no questions asked though. Sorry no TC experience...but I do run with 2200lbs of payload in the bed.(Pin weight and 50 gal of fuel)

I had the Rancho 9000s on my old F350 with my Host. I liked the adjustability and turned them down when the camper wasn't on it.
