The new mall at Q is greater that the ones in Tx. I don't know if we could cover it all in one day.
I think the combination of the new mall coupled with the new water slide park and PGA course in quartzite make it hard to beat. Really a world class destination.
Are they going to move the "Frozen Sidewinder" horse-shoe event normally held in January inside the new mall or will it be near the new golf-course? :h
I think they will, it can get very cold in the day time. The problems is if to many snakes wake up and lose there circle, you must pitch them in a hurry.
Big Q is going to get real cold later this week, better turn on the heat. - SuperchargedExplorer

I spend a few day just north of the old Shell station in 1982, it took 20 mins to get across the stop light with the RV's, very few come anymore. Maybe 1/4 as many as the good good old old days.
I may be "Old School", but I liked the old Q better. Like 10-15 years ago. All these new-fangled things has spoiled Q for me. - rv2goExplorer III may be "Old School", but I liked the old Q better. Like 10-15 years ago. All these new-fangled things has spoiled Q for me.

Still being decided by the city council. They are apparently trying to squeeze that and the catamaran races all into a two month period. - MNtundraRetNavigator

There are miles and miles of desert, with fringe people living in things with wheels. There are no particular free camping areas, but with a little asking around you could come up with something free or dirt cheap. Stop at a couple of the local establishments and ask, you'll find something. You'd have to be a bit adventurous to go down there based on such advice, but if you would consider the slabs, you must be.
