slide out awning on dining section

Just put a solera awning on our kz connect trailer. When dining room is slid out the bottom fully retracts but the top is somewhat back and I think it is due to the awning I put on. The dining room is 40" when out so that is under the 50" max on awning. Is this normal and will settle over time? or do I somehow need to lessen the tension on the roll?

    If you can, I’d lessen the tension. Don’t ask me how... I have the same issue on a bedroom slide and simply push on the top of the slide to get it fully extended. Will have it looked at next time it goes in for service.
