Slide out maintenance

Just bought some Camco Slide out lube and Protectant to use and I just noticed that it contains petroleum distillates. I could swear that I read somewhere that using petroleum is no good on slideouts. Is this true or am I mistaken? I have a Forest River Wildwood 272 BH with one slide. Thanks.

LOL. The system won't let me use the "R" word to indicate "hinder" or "delay".
