Spare Tire

My spare tire was stolen a couple of weeks ago and I'm looking to replace. The original tire was a ST225/75/R15 Load Range D. I have found that Discount Tire has a:
CARLISLE SPORT TRAIL L/H ST225/75/D15.
Any input on the difference between the R15 and D15 would be appreciated.

Thanks.

If you think this may be a continuing issue you might want to consider storing your new spare tire in your front pass through cargo compartment, as I've done with my last two trailers.

It really doesn't take up that much space and the wheel well can be used for storing water hoses, cables, etc. You can ditch the spare tire bracket entirely and all that bouncing weight on the rear of the bumper will instead improve your gross tongue weight. It's a win-win IMO. :)

R15 is a radial tire, D15 is a bias ply tire. You don't want to mix the two.

    Ditto.

Get the same as what is on your trailer.

ALso recommend a spare tire lock. I think I should get one too.
