Those are the things that might just save you a lot of time or money some time!

Some park models where you need to push the slides into place need to be supported but the shortly you hear about leaks. Any movement in the trailer or slide can cause damage.

My manual, as poor a it my be, specifically states; not to use supports under the slide out.

The trailer supports the slides. Nothing extra is needed. Supports will damage a slide out especially when used in soft ground. This is not opinion but fact!

As was stated they serve no positive function only the possibility of damage. If they were needed they would be supplied with the unit

They are those stacks of worthless paper that you may refer to when everything else does not work.

I don't know of any newer trailers with slides that the mfg recommends using them. Their simply not needed. Your trailer dealer/mfg can best answer your question.

There from another era when our tip outs or pull outs (before powered slide outs) required stabilizing jacks. There are some older trailers out here with that old system.

Check your manual; most that I have seen indicate not to place supports under the slideouts. Slides are typically made to be self-supporting.
