Storage cover for winter

I got a new rv this year. going to get a cover , my popup always looked new with a cover.

as what , depends on you. i am getting one online a bit cheaper version that works for snow. Here money is the factor.

Huge debate among proponents and opponents. Had one once for three weeks before wind destroyed it. Big waste of money IMHO

We always cover ours for the winter. It's only 3 years old, but still looks brand new. This is the original cover, still no rips. Protect the cover from sharp points with foam pipe insulation, tennis balls or swim noodles.

I use mine, however it is important to keep the snow from accumulating on the bottom of the cover at the ground. Last season my cover got trapped into the snow / ice and as the ice shifted during the winter it pulled the cover down so tight that the trailer walls pulled downwards. As the walls were pulled downwards, both the roof and floor of the trailer bowed downward at the edges. In the early spring months, the vinyl floor was stretched around both sides the entire length of the trailer. The roof material was also stretched along both sides for the entire length of the trailer. Imagine a running line bubble of stretched material down both sides... I don't imagine it was good for the structure of the trailer.

This year I will shovel out beside the trailer during the winter.

I have to disagree here. I've used Adco for years and we just purchased an Adco custom fit. You have to make sure the RV has no sharp edges and make sure you always keep the straps tight. Custom Adco covers are fit to your specific RV.

I have just replaced my cover in Oct. after using it for 12 years.
I replaced it because it was getting a little "thread bare" and had two small
rips in it. I use the Adco fitted covers because they fit well also
the new one has 11 under belly tie down straps which should keep the wind
from damaging the cover. I might add where I park the trailer it is fairly
well shaded which might add to it's longevity .

I have had a ADCO on my trailer for the past 2 years and with the exception of a couple of holes that were my fault, it still looks like it's almost brand new.

The fabric is relatively thin (but sturdy) but make sure you cover with your choice of edge protection anything and everything that could rip it.
