Styrofoam bugs?

Mice or squirles will do that.

Mice, squirrel, chipmunks or even ants will cause that.

Also, white Styrofoam is made from beads of foam. If it is stressed and moved, beads can break loose and resemble "powder".

Doesn't seem likely critters would inhabit the ceiling. Not much food up there.

Part of the mystery is that the area aroud the light is clean. Rodents normally leave a mess.

We haven't seen signs of mice or chipmunks in the trailer, but they are certainly where it is parked.

The powder is quite fine, smaller than styrofoam beads. It is only the styrofoam within about an inch of the opening thatis powdered.

Chipmunks in the ceiling cost some friends of ours 2 thousand dollars a couple years ago. So yea, it happens.

Shoot, my TC is 18 years old and I still get sawdust and styrofoam beads falling out of the ceiling into the light fixtures. Some more than others, a few not at all.

They don’t clean up the areas you can’t see at all before delivery to the dealers.

Was there styrofoam in the ceiling?

I periodically will clean the ceiling lights of stuff that falls in there. No evidence of creatures. I have styrofoam in the roof.
I have had carpenter ants make homes in the foam sheathing on my house.
When I built houses, we would leave all manner of detritus in the walls, messages, too. No one would know until the wall was taken apart, maybe never.
