sun valley 160 extreme
i am new to forum we recently purchased a sun valley extreme 160 2006 year. it has rot in an area about 1 *2 feet on the roof. the previous owner bought new trailer - much larger. He priced it right and made sure i knew of any issues. i will take time and fix it right. we moved our camping goods inside so far.
we repaired a couple of minor things such as cabinet latches and replaced the smoke and co2 detectors. scrubbed all surfaces.
does anyone know where we can get an owner's manual for the trailer and all of the appliances? the prior owner ran through everything and demod it but it has ran together to some degree .....
the trailer has a good lay out for the two of us.
i will start on the rot repairs in hte next weeks. the framing is solid only the roof in this small area it is a cheap plywood.
trying to figure out the rubber roof. the radio antenna's base is literally covered with 1/2 inch plus of a hardened caulk / sealer. need to know how to remove? ot is adhered very well to the roof. i do not know if he ever sealed it or not.
the rot reached to the connection of the front panels to the roof. i disassembled enough to ensure that the rot was not in a larger area.
considering using a sealer / coating to the entire roof after i am though with rot issues. i read that they extend the life of the roof..... does the coating fill any small holes that would be in the roof or just protect the roof top?
just starting with a travel trailer any help would be appreciated.
