Make it simple for yourself - buy a Progressive Industries EMS with a lifetime warranty. :B If your rig is wired for 30 amp service then buy a 30 amp model, if it's wired with 50 amp service then buy a 50 amp version. If you prefer simplicity and ease of use buy a portable version (EMS-PT30X or EMS-PT50X), if you're willing / able to wire the unit into your rig and would prefer the advantages a hard wire model can offer then buy a hard wire version (EMS-HW30C or EMS-HW50C).
It's really quite simple, despite
westom's exhortations that only serve to over complicate the issue of choosing an appropriate electrical protection device for your rig. ;)
