Tank Tech RX?

I've heard good things about Tank Tech RX which is a probiotic black and gray water treatment but have no experience using it. Has anyone used it?

Thanks,

Your black tank is a holding tank. I'm not sure why people are trying to make it into a septic system. With all the money that people are throwing down their toilets with all these additives, it might be cheaper to get $10 worth of pennies and toss pennies in your black tank with a couple gallons of water while you drive home from the rv park. The pennies will probably do a better job of scrubbing the walls than all this other stuff that people put down there.

Thanks everyone for your inputs. I don't have an issue with the smell or anything I saw Tank Tech RX info and wonder if it really works as well as they say it does. So I was looking for someone's review who has used it.

Like others said, save your money. We use the Thetford Campachem powder just because the wife likes the smell. Not really necessary.

If you don't want to use just plain water, try The Geo Method, or something similar.

Sometimes, after dumping my tanks, I'll add a cup of lemon dishwasher liquid (the cheap stuff) and a couple gallons of water to each tank.
You should always a couple gallons of water after dumping the tanks.

But, plain water works. If you're getting a smell, check under the sinks for an air admittance valve. They go bad.

This is true. Recently returned from a 7 day trip. I usually use Drop In's upon arrival at the CG. This time I kept forgetting to put them in, and when I did, I found them to be melted from the heat - they were in the TT in a drawer since the last trip.

I never once noticed a smell - nor did my wife complain about one - and she is the onw with the sensitive nose.

Don't spend your money on these products. Just use plenty of water. If you want the flowery smell, then use Drop In's found at Walmart. Just don't leave them in the heat.
Experience without good judgment is worthless; good judgment without experience is still good judgment!
