Hahaha, yeah, what a horror story! Probably 5 people itching at the keyboard to tell you a V10 ford would be soooo much better.
Bottom line, those that c rap on the idea of light duty diesel trucks are in one of 3 crowds.
1. Never had a diesel, don't have enough mechanical aptitude to change a lightbulb, much less understand what's going on under the hood.
2. Got one of the bad ones, like a 6.0/6.4 Ford, 6.5 GM, or had a freak issue that was more expensive to fix than they thought it should be.
OR
3. Own a gasser pickup, wish they had the $ or wife to let them get a diesel and are jealous.
Actually there's a 4th as well. Those that do great with a gasser and it does what they need it to do simply and without fanfare.....good or bad fanfare.
