I posted a weight for my Truck and TC a while back.I had reason to haul a bunch of junk to the dump and they weigh you as you go in and come out.My truck,(Dodge 2500, 4X4, Diesel,4door, SRW) empty bed, me inside with 30gal of diesel weighed 7340#With my Palomino Bronco 1200, one battery, 18gal water, no black or grey water, a Honda 2000 generator and a about 150 pounds of other stuff, I weighed 9580#The tag on the Palomino says the camper weighs 1200#This puts the loaded camper at 2240#Water is 126#Battery is 55#Generator is 50#This all equals 231#So....I had another 809# of junk with me!!!!!Hard to believe, but it is what it is!

Funny, everyone says add 1000 lbs to the camper weight for your ready to camp weight. Seems to be a pretty good rule of thumb.

How can you be sure that you had "30 gal of diesel?" Furthermore, how do you know you had this same amount with the camper on the re-weigh?...perhaps a better apples-to-apples numbers for calculating would be to have the tank as full as possible for both the before and after trip to the scales.Also- did you have the tailgate on for the first dump run and then remove it for the camper weigh? this will tilt the numbers.

The tag on my S&S states 2,550 lbs dry.......Loaded and ready to camp I'm just over 4,000 lbs.

It is almost unbelievable how accurate my fuel gauge is. 35 gallon tank and each 1/4 is 8.75 gallons. At 11:30 this morning, I stopped to fill up and gauge was showing a needle from 1/4 tank. I said to myself "It will hold almost 25 gallons". Pump stopped at 24.59 gallons. Happens like that every time.

Incorrect.

The GVWR of your truck is 9000lbs, period.

The combined axle ratings are 11,200lbs. Completely different rating.

GVWR < combined axle rating to account for uneven loading of the truck, driving on steep hills, heavy braking, etc., which cause the weight to shift disproportionately to one axle or the other.

You must drink that heavy beer. Pack lite beer instead. It will make a big difference.

I added air bags and Rancho 5000 shocks. Drives like a dream. No issues at all.

That's about what my Bronco 800 weighs but its dry wt is 1350lbs
You forgot propane wt and wt of jacks and tie downs.
What is your GVW,Diesel 4 door,4x4s are heavy
