You would think all you have to worry about with 30 ft TT is break in's. You do not have a big enough lock on tongue. I had the big Gorilla Guard lock on mine but the bad guys must have really wanted my unit. I still have lock, but no camper. I have suggested to all who I meet to remove wheels from one side of camper. Apparently this is only thing that will stop some people. Never recovered.

I know some who have put down their jacks, extended their slides, and disconnected battery to discourage would-be thieves, but I have never heard of removing wheels. It's frustrating that honest people like yourselves have to deal with this! Sorry for your loss.

Where was it parked, at home or a storage lot?

Parked in business gravel lot, well lighted, near highway. East side of Dayton Ohio. There are mods that I can identify at 100 feet.

Hope you had insurance...When I bought mine the dealer was telling me about a 30' they had parked out front...had lock, chain, slides extended, battery removed....Thieves brought their own battery and took off with it...never recovered (and I live on an island!) he said some might end up as hunting lodges out in the bush so are never found....

Like anything, if they want it bad enough, they'll find away to get it. Problem is, most passers by, when they see someone by a travel trailer with a truck, just assume they they are the rightful owners and never bat an eye.

Just don't hit the propane tank! Although I think they busted that on an episode of Mythbusters. ;)

Off topic... but when we shoot propane tanks we put a lit flare beside the tank. Normally (but not always) a bullet alone won't ignite a tank, but the leaking propane can easily find an ignition source... so be careful :)

I got a 12 guage shot gun with triple O Buck Shot that says you cant put a vest on your face. :-) and if that dont scare you ill throw in a slug with it so your f(cked if the buck shot ingures you the slug will end you theifin days :). I once had a box made to take craps in up at my family property and some ahole stole that too.
