I really appreciate the one or two Ford owners above that have had no difficulty. Unfortunately you are like a voice crying in the wilderness. There is just so much negative out there on these trucks. The ford is by far the quietest and nicest cabin...and I love my Duramax and planed to keep it...but was willing to buy the ford if less risk.

I found a nice Long Bed Ext Cab Chevy big block today and will probably buy it tomorrow if I feel the same as I do now. I will make it the shop truck and keep my 230,000 mile 06 Dmax as my DD.

I REALLY appreciate the input from everyone hear and am extra grateful this did not become a nasty spitting contest!
