This thing is a beast!!

Back in the day, in Beaumont, TX, there was a fellow driving a dark green 1970 Impala four-door hardtop with a huge steel plate on top with a gooseneck type hitch ball in the middle. It was the exact match for the car that is "stealing" the camper in the ad. I never saw the camper, but saw the car all over town for years. I recall taking a close look at the hitch one day; it was about 5/8" plate around 18" front to rear and spanning the roof with angles on each side and clamped to the drip rails. It didn't touch the (vinyl) roof.
