Tire wear in my Jayco 5th

Our Jayco Jay Flight is our 3rd 5th wheel trailer and we haven't seen this before. When we turn a corner, the rear axle wheel turns inwards until we are straightened out. This is causing huge inner tread wear on both rear axle tires. Only 2 years old, their inner tread is almost bear now. I'm thinking that its a bearing issue. Anyone experience this before? Dave
  • That usually happens on tight turns. Are your axles spaced farther apart than previous trailers? Is your trailer level? How's your tire pressure?
  • Tire wear on one edge is a classic axle alignment issue. Possibly caused by a bent axle or overloaded. Get your trailer weighed. Preferably both axles sepeterly.
  • Thanks for the input guys. tire pressure is good. Axle alignment inspection will be done soon!
  • Don’t know how old your 5’er is, but the spring eyelet bushings are probably nylon which have a tendency to wear out fairly quickly. Just wanted to mention this.

Seems happening the same on buddy's Jayco. We'll take a look at it right after we finished installing the new rack, brake shoe and bakflip tonneau covers on his other truck project. It seems the alignment issue is becoming common to these models.
