To Drain or not to Drain

So it is mid May and spring is finally peeking his nose out here in the upper mid-west.

I was de-winterizing and prepping the TT for the season. Flushed the pink stuff and filled the freshwater system with bleach water to sanitize my system.

Now I have to put the TT back into storage for about a month before I can use it next. This question crossed my mind. What do you think?

Should I store the TT with bleach water in the system or drain it and store it dry?

Thanks

It is not good to use bleach. Most people overdose it. The only time I do it is after leaving Mexico, I put a fairly concentrated dose in, Run the taps through the hot water tank & faucets for a couple of minutes, drive for an hour then drain and refill. That is only once a year, and a precaution before drinking anything out of it in future. Apart from that I use hydrogen peroxide to sanitize them. 4 oz per tank of 4% is about correct for most fresh water tanks. Only other time I will put nay bleach in is it the water from the hot water tank is smelly. Best to minimize the use of it.

I agree , store it dry. I would not be to worried about re-sanitizing it though. But, that's just me.

I've been out camping 3 times already and I'm at your same latitude.

Drain the bleach, rinse the system and store dry.

Sanitize again when you get the RV out of storage.

There's no way I would leave bleach in the system that long.

I would definetly NOT leave a sanitizing concentration of bleach in the system. I do leave fresh water with 2-4 ppm chlorine in my system for a month or so between uses in season.
