- JJBIRISHExplorerI load one end with a plastic fork and see no reason to have fine china for the other end…:B
- BillB800siExplorerBuy a new porcelain toilet they really aren't expensive. Well worth the money.

To be honest I have had more trouble with the ball type…
my blade type has worked well for 10+ years of full time use so far… - I have seen those blade toilets work.... I would replace entire toilet with a ball style.

Your one right track IMO - 74alexExplorerI changed the blade and seal a number of years ago. you should get the
Thetford's exploded view of the toilet and parts. The hard part is to remove the top part. It is set in a groove with a butyl seal material that you have to pry apart.
After this comes apart, 3 springs will fall out. To figure out where they come from you need the exploded view. Each is a different size. One is for the blade seal, the other two fit on top and bottom of the actuator ass'y.
It is not difficult, just time consuming.
Hope this helps.

- mosseaterExplorer III did my Sealand and it wasn't too hard. More difficult to get the right parts than do the job. Hardest part was knowing when the lower flange clamp was tight enough. Not a hard job, just not very pleasant.
- path1ExplorerNot that hard. Find what you got and hit link then hit manual. Study it awhile and have at it. Hardest part on mine was getting plastic plug cover off to get socket on bolt.
What makes you feel blade needs replacement?
