Tomorrows the Day - Bright n Early

Well guys, I can't believe it's here. If I sleep to tonight, I'll be leaving bright and early tomorrow a.m. with my first stop Pass Christian, LA, then to Shreveport, up through Oklahoma, into the Grand Tetons and northwest to spend time in Yellowstone.

Between this being my first trip and imagining what's not bring for a four to six week outing, I think I've covered everything. Thank you everyone for being here, for your experience, suggestions and insights to all of my newbie questions and queries.

**I** even spent a good deal of time at my auto shop, where they allowed **me** to check the tires, filter, oil, levels and belts. I almost feel like an old timer now (just kidding)... at least a tad more prepared.

Let's hope you don't hear from me on the road, cuz if you do, it might not be good news!~

I appreciate each of ya'll.

  • have a blast Beth. Maybe our paths will cross. We're leaving for that area in about 4 weeks.
  • I feel your excitement! Have a wonderful trip and take lots of photos.
  • Just one point other than to wish you a great and safe trip, Pass Christian is in MS, not LA. At least you'll be a few miles closer on your first day since you won't have crossed into LA. Sounds like a fun trip. The drive along the coast in AL and MS is pretty....if you can cut down to the road right along the coast, it's REALLY pretty. The sad part is that there is still evidence of Katrina remaining....will it ever be just a memory.

Hope the weather in the OK area settles down for you. Enjoy your trip, be safe, remember the pictures.
  • This TLC Wolf River Resort is quite nice. They seem to have everything and there is lots of fishin going on. The negative for me anyways is that we're packed pretty tight in the back-end. Interesting how they give campers more space "up front" where one first enters the property.

Monday morning off to Winnfield's COE, "Gum Springs" at $1.50 per night! Supposed to be a beautiful spot, free water, no electric. So I'm enjoying the amenities here and freezing what I can for the next stop.

Thank you for your well wishes. So far so great
