Towed 55,000lbs with 135hp today
Well I towed just over 55,000lbs (27tons) down the toad for about an hour today with no issues. 135hp with boost up to 167hp, 16 speed tranny sure helps. :W Just stirring the pot, lol.

I use to drive semis back in the 70s. I had an International with a 238 HP diesel and towed 50,000 lbs up and down the Rockies. There were times when I could have walked up a hill faster than I could drive, but I eventually got where I was going.
My grandfather's farm tractor had a 24 HP engine. My lawn mower has more power now.
Nowadays pickups tow half that weight with twice the horsepower as my old semi. Things sure have changed.
