Id buy brand new and take good care of it,starting with proper undercoating.
Have 08 Silverado that stil runs like a dream, but then I dont race or let it overheat and change all fluids at recomended intervals.
If that was in my budget. It is not.
I sort of thought the same thing when I was buying. But at $42-$45K I was only 10K away from brand new with zero miles, better financing and 100% warranty.
Look closer at the numbers, consider something less than Denali and platinum packages and new is a viable option.
I purchased new in 2019 and found better new deals than used.
While I like all the bells , whistles and creature comforts AI found a LTZ to be a better value than High Country.
Don't be afraid to travel to a high volume dealer that promotes trucks they are out there!
I completely understand the point and if I could I would, however, my budget is VERY fixed so I'm stuck at my price point or below. I'm also certainly open and looking for a 250 or anything above. I'm also not stuck on a loaded vehicle. However, in the price point I can afford I don't see many standard equipped vehicles with reasonable miles in that range either. I've also notice that some of the higher trim trucks have lower miles or tend to be in better shape (from what I've seen in person so far). I really don't care what brand or trim set it is. I need something that is reliable or that I can but and make reliable for the same price range.
I appreciate all the feedback guys. It's a big adventure and I simply want to spend time adventuring and not stuck with a trailer and major repairs while on the road.
