towing with 30" overhang of TC

Can't tow doubles unless you have a fifth wheel/goose neck for the first trailer, and then, only in some states. So no... you can't.

Lots of us tow behind the TC, many with more than a 30" extension. Personally I use a 48". I pull between 6-7000 pounds of horse trailer (6k with one horse 7k with 2. I use a Torklift super hitch and 48"super truss couple to a WD hitch with 1200# bars. I roll down the highway at just over 20000 pounds. I wouldn't use any other hitch set up for that much weight. And yes the extension is one big lever

Double trailer towing is legal in CA and from what I know in most of the states.
Check your local state/province law.
But frankly, I have seen only few double trailer behind pickup while on the road and they did not build confidence even without heavy TC.

You can double tow in most states. WA, OR and East Coast states prohibit it. Only 4 states, AZ, IL, MI and MN require the first trailer to be a 5'er.

OP is in CANADA. US State laws do not apply. He needs to check with his province to determine if double towing is legal or not.

For towing in general, IMHO the best out-of-the-box solution is the Torklift Superhitch and Supertruss system. Nobody else makes a complete system, let alone one as strong.

Everyone else just sends you a piece of square tubing, that if used without modification, flops around and make for a miserable, even dangerous, towing experience. The end user is left to figure out some sort of stay chain setup, which ends up requiring drilling and/or welding. Torklift has that all figured out for you.

It may be expensive, but it's bolt-on convenience.

Also, when we went with the Supertruss system, we had to have different rear tie down brackets. FYI

State laws apply if he enters them. Plus the site I posted has Canadian towing laws too.

As far as the SuperHitch/Super/Truss I am a long time user and believer. I frequently use the 21" and 48" ext. :)
