Towing with an 04 Explorer Sport Trac

How much does the trailer weigh? I towed with 2 Explorer's the cousin to the Sport Trac both had V8 and both did good I think. I had a V6 one that I drove awhile but never actually towed with it (before I had a trailer) but it had enough grunt that I wouldn't hesitate to tow a reasonable weight with it. IIRC they are rated for 5k right?

I don't remember if I posted to your original thread. But I towed a 25ft Award TT that weighed in at 5k lbs with a 95 4dr Explorer. It did OK here in the Midwest, however on longer trips it may have been a bit much. My BIL has a Sport trac and toes his 23ft boat with it. He has had no complaints.

This is our 2001 that we drove up to Nova Scotia from Missouri one year. We had no issues, but I think we may have been overloaded a bit. :) I had driven with a smaller popup before this one and I don't remember any problems with this popup acting badly.

Haven't pulled our old TT very far with our 02 Sport Trac, but had no issues when we did. Have pulled a lot more than 800 pounds of firewood and concrete on a utility trailer with no brakes quite a few times with no issues. Don't think you will have any issues with your Aliner Sportliner.
