It runs like new.... His only issue was a new transmission when he got close to the 300k mark. But hey that's really minor considering that truck gets worked everyday.....yes he still drives it, has no plans ever getting rid of it. Get the 5.7 it's an incredible engine.
Toyota will never make a 3/4 ton for the simple reason that the investment would never justify the return on sales.
The big sales numbers are in the 1/2 ton market, not the 3/4 ton market, a market which has a very loyal following among the big 3. So if Toyota jumped in, how much market share could they capture? 2%? 5%? The numbers are too small to make it worth the effort. There's just not room for a 4th player in the relatively small 3/4 ton market.
