And that is cutting it to close assuming the latch and strike are going to line up perfectly. Take a pencil and mark out the hole section on the strike. Remove the strike and with a sharp chisel carefully chisel it out and reinstall the strike.
The above is correct. Home Depot bath set, trace strike pattern and chisel carefully.
