The decision to cap the Superduty pickups GVWR at 14K was made for marketing reasons, not because the components couldn’t handle more. IMHO, the F450 pickup has more real payload capacity available than the F350’s. In other words, it’s not as close to the boundaries of its “envelope”.
I also wish there was at least the option of a 4:10 axle ratio, but it’s not going to be screaming at highway speeds either. While I like to keep it around 65 on the interstates, there are times we need to scoot and it has no trouble maintaining the highest speed limits you’ll encounter in the US.
You might even come to enjoy being able to pass just about anything on a steep uphill grade. :B
