Truck camper storage

Looking for thoughts/opinions on two storage options. Because of a move I needed to store the camper at a lot versus the house. My question is, would you pay another $100 bucks a month to have it stored inside?

The only downside I could think of was the battery wouldn't stay charged with the solar, and of course the extra $1200 a year. Thoughts?
  • The spot I was referring to is a covered carport type thing, and it was $225 a month for a 25' spot.
  • What's the total cost out in CA for inside camper storage?
  • Security would be the same as it's in the same location just covered with a car port with door. I'm leaning towards waxing it real well twice a year and leaving it outside.

    Thanks all!
  • When you did park it at home was it inside or outside? If outside, then I think the deciding factor would be the security of the inside lot versus the outside lot. Does the inside lot provide enough additional security to justify the $1200?

If not, then I say go with the outside lot, stop by and check on the camper a bit more often, and spend a day at the end of each season doing a thorough maintenance check (checking seams, windows, roof, etc., and re-sealing, washing, as necessary). Save the $1200 for more camping trips.
  • I don't think storing inside is necessary, but expect the decals to show some damage if it's in the sun, and you don't have a cover.
  • The camper would have to be worth alot of money, to be worth it to pay $1200/yr to store it.
