Had a 2011 Ext Cab 2500 HD 6.0 Chevy 4X4.sixspeed. Too thirsty: 6 mpg towing, 11 empty; went for a 2011 crewcab2500 HD 6.6 4X4 was a hangar queen 11 mpg empty and 8.5-9 towing. Went back to a 2012 Ram HD2500 6.7 and in a word: thirsty. Downsized to a recent Ford Ecoboost crew cab 4X4 still checking.
