TT Hot skin issue

When they 'bit' like that, it's because there is no ground. Where the ground is failing could be anywhere. It could be a bad wire from the trailer to the electric plug, it could be the shore power connection itself, it could be a broken ground wire inside the camper. But when they "bite" like that ... it's almost always because the camper is not grounded.

RV professional repair. Don't plug in. Didn't you check all this before purchase? When you don't see it, time for a pro.

First get a 3-light outlet checker and verify the source.

Sounds like where you are plugged into the Shore Power is missing its GROUND wire protection. All three conductor must be connected...

Are you plugged into an extension cord that is plugged into a garge 120VAC Receptacle?

It could be the 120VAc Receptacle is missing the green wire GROUND connections... Get one of these circuit testers from LOWES and plug into your 120VAC source receptacle. It will tell you if all is connected properly...

Do not plug in your trailer any longer until you can determine the source is ok. This may not hurt a grown-up but might be fatal for small animals or a small child etc... Very dangerous situation for you...

If you are plugged into your garage 120VAC receptacle do not use one of those small round adapters... Pick up a RV30A to 15A LONG dogbone type adapters from WALMART back in the RV section... Will look like this

Also if you are using an 25-foot extension cord this must be at least a 12-gauge type... 10 gauge is best to use. DO NOT use one of those RED-ORANGE extension cords from WALMART. They will over heat and burn up your adapter or main shore power plug etc...

Agree with above that it almost for sure is going to be a loss of ground back to your ac power source. Start at the main power outlet and verify you have ground there. If so, then check your power cord. Continue working your way thru all circuits until you find where it is lost.

The green wire safety ground should drain off any stray voltage that finds its way to the skin.

I've checked with one of the 3 light testers. It says everything is good at the source, and the camper outlets. I'm using a 10gauge ext cord but am guilty of using the converter puck. That tests good so I don't think it's the cause. I've been using a VOM to run the continuity checks and am familiar with basic electrical theory. I'm mainly curious if there is a common failure point before I go pulling everything apart.

For this reason, I always make sure that ONE of my stabilizer Jacks make good contact with the ground -- not on plastic or wood blocks.

I had a similar issue at a campground. I tried plugging into the next campsite and had the same issue. found out it was the campground box at both sites. Get one of the testers suggested and check on a known good source.

Only thing i can think of now then is one of those surge protectors you might be using... Not familiar with any of those in the circuits... Have never used one before...

I'm guessing if you plug the circuit tester inside the trailer 120VAC receptacle they must be reading a open ground perhaps...

Doing what you have done would have solved the problem if it was my more simple OFF-ROAD POPUP trailer haha...

My shore power cable ties directly into my Converter 120VAC Power Distribution panel where all of the HOT, NEUTRAL, and GROUND connections are at...
