TT is winterized, but still getting use

I winterized the TT a few weeks ago, and it is parked next to the house. Although we've already had a few snow storms hit the NJ region, it warmed up here in the last few days. My daughter had a party over the weekend and had a sleepover in the TT with her friends. Any use is a good use as far as I'm concerned!

Does your TT ever serve duty other than at a campground?

We use ours almost every weekend. It is kept at the in-laws and if we can make it down on a Friday, we'll stay in it and hang out in their house on Saturday.

Ours in in the yd, plugged in and we are leaving the 26th for Little Rock, OKC, Carthage Mo, and Bristol Tn. It's an Arctic Fox so we don't worry about cold.

DW and I only have a 3 bedroom house, and the two kiddos take up the 2nd and 3rd rooms. We've never had a guest room. So when we bought our TT Labor Day weekend of this year, we realized that we now have a guest suite, suitable for 2 adults and 2 kids, or even more if the sofa or dinette were utilized.

I have a 30-amp RV outlet on the side of my storage building, right beside the TT. Also, there is a sewer clean out right behind the TT, so toilet and shower use is no problem. It does take three 25-ft water hoses to reach the water hookup, but that's no biggie.

So far, though, the only overnight guest has been my Dad. He and I towed the TT down to the Outer Banks in October for some surf fishing. He came to our house the evening before we left, and he slept out there, ready for an early a.m. departure.

We do like having a very comfortable option for family or friends when they come visit.

I hope you had plenty water in black tank or you might have a big problem with paper buildup.

When we had a sticks and bricks in Florida, the camper was our escape pod to get away from hurricanes.

It was always ready to go with every thing stocked except perishables.

Our trailer sits out on a pad on the alley behind our house. This Winter's project is to change the backyard and move the trailer storage area closer to the house. This will make the trailer a guest house and allow us to have the slide outs open and enjoy it more than we do.

I use it as a spare bedroom/ guest room. My last camper a used 5th wheel was lived in for 10 years only time it moved while I had it was after Katrina when it was used in New Orleans for 2 years.

I use my current trailer less ( as far as someone sleeping in it ) but it has traveled more.

I had a lot of people over for dinner and was short of oven space few weeks ago. No problem used the kitchen in the camper as well as in the house.

I would not want to have a trailer that was stored somewhere else.

Hmm...never thought of the gift hiding capabilities.....as long as it isn't stuff that can melt or freeze!

When someone tells you to buy the same rig they own, listen, they might be right. When they tell you to buy a different rig then they own, really pay attention, they probably know something you don't.
