TT mounted flag holders

I want to put 2 standard angled flag pole holders somewhere on the side of my TT. Before I drill any holes do I need to locate studs as in a house? If not, how do I do it to make it strong and lasting?

I mounted mine on the A-frame opposite each other. Just used self taping metal screws and drilled through the frame. Painted them black so they blend in with the black frame. They are about mid way between the front cap and where the ball connects.

Personally I wouldn't do it. Just another opportunity for a leak and/or side wall damage/failure.

Get up early and look at the dew on the trailer on a cold sunny morning.

We put ours right next to the front door. The theory was there would be a stud right next to the door, and there was.

An added benefit is that it is really easy to reach and put up or down from the inside. If it starts raining, we can just reach outside the door and bring the flag in.

You are sure to hit studs if you mount the flag holders on the corners.
