I agree with some way to anchor to the ground...maybe drill holes in corner of plate and drive 4 stakes into the ground otherwise any wind will cause your base to slide around and result in breaking your nice upper stabilizer you built. Otherwise nice job!
Thanks , I carry 2 @ 5 gallon buckets that I can use either sand, or water to fill and set on the base.. That should be enough to hold I think ?
I will find out Memorial Day.
I think that would be enough. It's not the force of the wind that will be the issue. It will be the force combined with the vibration caused by the flag waving.
Stakes would be a good idea if you are on soft ground, but I'm guessing you won't be. You could also put some concrete in that bucket with a larger pipe sleeve in the center. But then you have to haul that. Easier to just get some water or sand. tinner12002 wrote:

I have a pc that inserts into the receiver on the rear on my RV. I have tested it to well over 50 mph winds. That is with two full sized flags.
I also have one of those also, but wanted something that I could fly from the front for those back in wooded spots.
This is basically the same premise, but slightly different.
Makes sense! Your flag pole looks very much like mine. - tinner12002ExplorerI agree with some way to anchor to the ground...maybe drill holes in corner of plate and drive 4 stakes into the ground otherwise any wind will cause your base to slide around and result in breaking your nice upper stabilizer you built. It's pretty!
I would be prepared with some sand bags for anchoring the base plate. In any kind of stiff wind I think it is going to walk on you.
I thought about that... figured I would see what it does Memorial day at the beach... then go from there .
I will have 2 of the 5 gallon buckets ready.. can fill with either water, or sand...- bpoundsNomadIt's pretty!
