I made a step from 1 x 3 strapping. 4 pieces on their edge with one cross the middle and & floored over with 1 x 3. IIRC I have it approx. 30" x 48". I travel with it in the bed of my truck. DW has a little Welcome mat for it. When in the truck, I place it upside down and store my generator and gas bottle in it, enabling me to slide them easily on and off the tailgate and farther ahead in the pan.
