Under 23' w/ bunks & queen bed. Suggestions?

Hello everyone, first post here.

I am looking for a travel trailer to replace my hybrid. I need to be under about 23' with bunks, dinette, and queen or full bed.

I like the floorplans and price of the Summerland 1800bh, Wildwood X-lite 195bh, and Evo 195bh, but they are single axle with CCC of 900lbs or less. I'm towing with a Tahoe, so it doesn't need to be an ultra light.
I would really like to find a similar floorplan (bunks, queen bed, dinette) in a dual axle trailer with a heavier CCC, but can't find one. There are several models like the Grey Wolf 17bh and Summerland 189 for around $15k that look great and have bunks, but just a jack knife sofa in the front that won't fit 2 adults.

Does anyone know of a dual axle trailer 23' or less with bunks, a dinette, and a queen or full bed? Looking to stay around $15k if possible.

Thank you very much!!

What about a Coachman Apex 193BHS? It looks to be about right with more CCC than the other trailers you mentioned (1230 lbs). It does appear to be a single axle, hopefully it is a fairly beefy axle if it has just one.

Ours is 26' but we LOVE it and the room it has. We share our trailer with a family who's son has muscular Dystrophy and it allows him to get around a bit easier.

here's the link to the one we found.

We love our Jayco x213, just started taking the grand kids camping last summer. They love the bunks and we love the King bed slide. You may find a older model under 15 k. I tow mine with a hemi 1/2 ton Dodge Ram with no problems. GVW on our trailer is 5500 lbs

Wow. I stand corrected. My box is 24', plus the rest. I didn't expect to get blasted for my mistake. The OP did state that "23' isn't quite a hard number".

Besides, the intent of my post was to convey that sometimes we compromise our target. and that I was surprised at how something larger did negotiate a storage space that I didn't think it could.

My apologies to all.

Sorry, no intention to "blast" anyone. The OP set the criteria, not me, and as I pointed out in my first post in this thread he could have made his request a lot clearer had he identified whether 23' max was the box size or coupler to bumper length - big difference. In response to my query the OP did finally clarify yet several, not just yourself, subsequently offered recommendations that did not meet the OP's requirements, either because of length or because he's not interested in a single axle. Rereading this thread in it's entirety it now seems trailer length may be so critical because he has a limited space in which to park this trailer at home. I know all about that myself ... measured carefully and found I could go as long as 27' coupler to bumper but not much longer. Our 2008 KZ Spree measured 26' 9" coupler to bumper and fit fine but had we been buying a couple of years later the newer slide version of this same trailer which was another 18" longer would definitely not have fit. For some, overall trailer length can be critical.

We were shopping the same length limit and for the same reasons. After shopping a year...we went up in size slightly. Come to find out, it negotiates through my tight storage better than I thought it would.

The trailer in my sig has all you're asking for but 2' longer.

:h. Slightly longer? The 2016 version of your trailer is 28' 3" coupler to bumper, the OP wants something 23' long couper to bumper ... how is that just "2' longer"? He also has a $15,000 budget. :R

Single axle, is it not? OP wants a dual axle. 😉

At 26' 5" ? :h ... lots of choices in that length but the OP says his limit is 23' coupler to bumper. 😉

23' isn't quite a hard number, but it's darn close to the max length I can store and am comfortable towing and backing into my small storage area. 25' and up is a bit too large. I will check out that KZ 2405, though.

That Camplite 21bhs mentioned above looks real nice, more than I want to spend, but thanks for the suggestion.

Thank you all for your responses. I just don't know why all of the smaller (20-22') bunkhouses with queen beds have to be ultralights with such low CCC. The same manufacturers make rear living and other floor plans the same length with 2 axles and much higher CCC. I think the Wildwood 201bhxl is going to be my best bet. Something like the Wildwood 195bh would work too, but I would always have to be careful about not overloading it.
