Upgrading from popup to 80RB

I can answer 3): had HJ in our Outfitter. One of the motors seized completely after 2 winters. Corrosion due to water ingress. Other than that, the jacks were OK and did what they were supposed to.

A replacement motor was easy to get and replace diy, but not cheap.

Is 11 gallons fresh water,6 gallons grey and 7 gallons black correct. If that is true you will not like the small tank sizes.

And that's what they claim.. specs subject to change.. the black and gray on our TT was supposed to be 12gal.. the black was 6 gallons on a good day (including a couple of feet of 3" pipe). I wouldn't trust that they are even that big.

If you plan on staying at sites with full hookups, not a problem.

That's big enough to sleep on.

I am also interested in this camper for its small size and light weight. Of course with that are the trade offs, the main one for me being the small tank sizes. Does anyone know if it is available with a cassette or composting toilet? I could carry some extra water in the truck and camper and the cassette toilet would alleviate the small black tank.

OP, what makes you want to get away from the pop up? I love the idea of a pop up but can't stand the soft sidewalls for noise and the conspicuousness when trying to stealth camp to catch some z's on a trip.

Only comment I can make is our Adventurer was a great camper. Our 2nd AMLRV has been great so far also...

Tank sizes are funny. We started out in a Four Wheel Camper with a 10 gallon tank. The longest we managed to camp before running out of water was 3 days.

Next, we graduated to an Alpenlite camper with a 33 gallon tank. Longest dry camp: 3 days.

Our largest rig was a Dutch Star Diesel pusher with a 100 gal fresh water tank --- Never made it past 3 days there either. Our water and tank use/expectations seemed to expand as the tanks got larger. Go figure.

not sure what the standard a/c unit is. I added a Coleman Mach 9200 unit and my Honda eu2000 runs it, my Champion 2000w wouldn't. I think Champion makes a decent generator but they are optimistic with their ratings.

I haven't had any problem with my HJ jacks but I've heard they are prone to taking on water so I put 3-gang electrical covers over them. I think it may help if you can get over the looks, and the covers are cheap.

After many years with pop up want a change
