Upgrading from popup to 80RB

I am thinking 0f:C going from a pop up to an Adventurer 80RB
If anyone has one would like some feedback

1. Is the dinette bed big enough for an adult
2. can the air conditioner run with a 2k gen a champion.
3. any problems with the Happi jac electric jacks

We have a Lance 825 that the Ford F 250 hauls great. Fresh water is 30 gallons, grey is 11 gallons and black is 14 gallons. The black tank is plenty big for 4 or 5 days the grey water can be a problem. What I do is drain some of the water in a 2 gallon bucket with a cover and carry it to the pit toilets. But having your own shower is priceless. Good Luck with your search.

Tell your Wife you only carry 10 gals and see how far you can go...

not sure what the standard a/c unit is. I added a Coleman Mach 9200 unit and my Honda eu2000 runs it, my Champion 2000w wouldn't. I think Champion makes a decent generator but they are optimistic with their ratings.

I haven't had any problem with my HJ jacks but I've heard they are prone to taking on water so I put 3-gang electrical covers over them. I think it may help if you can get over the looks, and the covers are cheap.

Next, we graduated to an Alpenlite camper with a 33 gallon tank. Longest dry camp: 3 days.

Only comment I can make is our Adventurer was a great camper. Our 2nd AMLRV has been great so far also...

I am also interested in this camper for its small size and light weight. Of course with that are the trade offs, the main one for me being the small tank sizes. Does anyone know if it is available with a cassette or composting toilet? I could carry some extra water in the truck and camper and the cassette toilet would alleviate the small black tank.

OP, what makes you want to get away from the pop up? I love the idea of a pop up but can't stand the soft sidewalls for noise and the conspicuousness when trying to stealth camp to catch some z's on a trip.

And that's what they claim.. specs subject to change.. the black and gray on our TT was supposed to be 12gal.. the black was 6 gallons on a good day (including a couple of feet of 3" pipe). I wouldn't trust that they are even that big.

If you plan on staying at sites with full hookups, not a problem.

I can answer 3): had HJ in our Outfitter. One of the motors seized completely after 2 winters. Corrosion due to water ingress. Other than that, the jacks were OK and did what they were supposed to.

A replacement motor was easy to get and replace diy, but not cheap.
