  • There are several demonstration videos on YouTube, try "folding camper setup" or "popup setup." Assortment of brands, principles the same but some difference in the details. Seen videos for solo setup, couples setup, made me think twice about getting one. Still thinking.

Significant to some models, there are sometimes safety supports for the roof (in case a cable breaks). There are also variations in how the doors are stored, handled, fastened in place.

Unless you actually have a tent trailer instead of a hard-top crank-it-up pop-up with bunk ends. Unfolding all-tent models gets pretty specific, but you can usually find videos for those too.
  • Here are the steps I used with my 2 pop-ups.

Back into the campsite and level side-to-side using boards under the tires.
Once level side-to-side, chock the tires, unhitch and level front-to-back using tongue jack.
Place bunk support rods at front and rear on the ground near where they'll go.
Unlatch the four latches that hold the top closed.
    Crank up the top.
Crank down the stabilizers if so equipped.
Pull out bunk ends and secure with support rods.
Insert/install the bunk-tent support rods from inside the trailer.
    Intall the door.

To take down, just reverse the steps. One big thing to remember with most if not all pop ups is to make sure the stabilizers are NOT down when raising or lowering the top. This keeps the frame/body from being in a bind when moving the roof.

    Happy Camping!
