We live in Southern California, and when we finally decided on the Visa 19ERD, we found out the Pismo Beach dealer we were talking to (turns out he was the only Visa dealer the Gulfstream website listed in Calif) went out of business a few months before!
So, I started searching online looking for an 19ERD in CA, NV, AR,OR, and southern UT, and found one in Phoenix after 2 or 3 months of searching every few weeks - I bought it sight unseen after the dealer did a walk thru of it over the phone with us and sent some email pictures of it. Can't believe we deposited $2K sight unseen, but we didn't want to miss it! (We were blessed - the trailer turned out to be in great shape).
To find the trailer, we searched every few weeks using rvt.com, rvtraderonline.com, oodle.com and crazedlist (a nice service which enables you to save and search all the cities you want at once on craigslist). When we used the rv sales sites, I would put in a few different home locations and then select their biggest miles radius to roughly cover the above states.
Hey, you know, just a few months ago, we spotted 2 new Visas being towed down the 210 fwy in Pasadena by commercial tow vehicles - sure looked like they might be going to a dealer somewhere?
