Weighed the F150 FX4 CC Ecoboost

Well, up here in Alaska we don't exactly have Cat scales readily available for public use that I have found. I went to the dump and they actually have recently installed a digital gauge that driver's can see. Prior it was just the people running the scale that would look for commercial vehicles.

Anyhow, for those curious my truck is in my signature. Pretty much fully loaded with options I weighed in at 6,400lbs with a 7700lb GVW. Keep in mind I am a big guy at 6'3 and 275. I was impressed to have 1,300 of payload left with a full tank of gas and me in the cab.

Scale didn't measure front / rear axles sadly, just GVWR.

Go back, and just pull the front tires onto the scale, and check the front axle weight alone. That is how I did it with my motorhome at a scale at a moving company. I was also able to check the front right tire, then right side, then front axle, then whole RV. From that I was able to figure out the tire weights all around.

I thought about that, down side is this is a very popular public dump with a single lane onto the scale. I had, and usually have always had up to 5 vehicles behind me waiting to pull up.

Wonder if they would let me hit the other scale on the way out, good idea!

Out of curiosity, what does the door jamb yellow sticker say?
"Weight of occupants and cargo not to exceed ... "
Is it close (after subtracting your 275#)?

My FX2 added up pretty well to what's on the yellow sticker, but I didn't weigh it until after adding the Leer Cap so need to subtract that weight too.

Mine show's 1554lbs. I also added a spray in bed liner, not sure how much weight that added.
