Went to dark side, now back to TC

Well everyone I have not posted in awhile. Been busy with our only daughters wedding. Also during that time we sold our 2012 Adventurer 86 FB. We decided to go to a small fifth wheel.. I just could not get mentally past the dry weight of almost 3100 pounds with my 2006 Dodge beefed up 2500. Thats the only reason we sold. Could not upgrade to a dually and with my Nitto Durras causing my speedometer to be 3.5 miles off and little more wander decided against the 19.5 wheels. Funny how things change in a month. DW got a promotion and will not be able to travel as much and with me dealing with sellers remorse big time. Loved the Adventurer but with mid bath and tall camper with basement storage just thought it was to heavy..Well after looking at a lot of used junk TCs found a 2005 Lance 815 in very good shape at a dealer. Went thru it inside and out and looked good. Dealer has been prepping it and installing new AC since it did not come with one from factory but prewired for one. Taking delivery of Lance tomorrow and dealer gave me 30 day warranty on all appliances and atwood electric jacks..Will have dealers power up everything and make sure everything is in working condition. Any one have any other tips regarding Lance 815 before I take delivery are welcome. Wish me luck.
  • If it is still negotiable, I Would ask for a 9200 btu Polar Cub. Overall, it would be more efficient, and without a doubt can be run with a Honda 2000.

  • Well the manufacturers placard states 2011 dry weight with 25 gallons of fresh water and with 2 5 pound propane tanks . Add bout 85 pounds for new coleman mach 11, 000 Btu roof air should be lot lighter that my Adventurer 86 fb by a lot.
  • Of course we will want to see pictures when you get the chance to post 'em. You going to get some weight slips? I have followed your past TC experiences and would be curious on the new numbers.
