What is this wire for?

When I bought my Jay Flight 29BHS the entertainment system had been removed. There was just some speaker wires and one other wire coming out if this hole in the wall. There are five pairs of wires for the five speakers. But I don't know what this other wire is for. There is no voltage on it.

    No such animal, an antenna doesn't care what it's receiving, be it analogue or digital, AM or FM or whatever transmission. As for that cable pictured it's a radio antenna cable that runs from from the antenna to the radio antenna input. It's a cable because it in fact consists of two "wires" - an inner wire and an outer shield.

    Five speakers is an odd number.... Is one of them a subwoofer? Or is one pair of wires possibly the power source for the player?

    Yep antenna. I have a spring loaded automotive type antenna on my roof. Should be something up there.

    Totally agree that it's the antenna. Be careful. On mine, that wire was simply laid out along the rafters in the ceiling. If you pull it out, you may not be able to put it back. When I upgraded my stereo, I also replaced that antenna with a real one that I installed on the roof.

    Missed the five pair of wires. Four pairs are for your speakers, fifth is for the power.

    That's an antenna cable. It's probable that one of those five pairs are power and ground to power the player.

    Not enough wires. With only speaker wires, and possibly a single antenna wire, how does it get powered?

    Not analog TV. AM/FM radio. It could be a short rubber one on roof or side.
