Which quad bunk to get?

Hello,

Well we are finally ready to purchase a camper this fall, but which one? We were leaning heavily at the Keystone Passport GT 2920 but keep seeing mixed reviews on overall quality. I have now become interested in the Jayco White Hawk 30DSQB. So am I missing anything? We have 5 kids a Corgi and Dachshund so quad bunks are a must as is a U dinette but other than that we are open to other brands. Any guidance or suggestions?

We have a Rockwood Windjammer 3006. Front bunkroom with four bunks. U shaped dinette and a queen slide in the rear. Nice floorplan without a lot of wasted space. Also has direct outside entrance into the bathroom.......good for kids. We haven't found anything about it we don't like yet...

Check out the floorplan of the Keystone Outback 301BQ. It's a bit different as far as quad bunk plans go....bunks in front with a nice sized bedroom in back. Has the U-dinette too.

We are really happy with our Jayco JayFlight 29QBH -- although I think for MY 2015 they may have made the outdoor kitchen standard which eliminates one of the bunks. Might be able to order w/o outdoor kitchen, or find '14 or older on a dealer lot.

We also like the eagle 314 but ended of with JayFlight.

Maybe the Jayco Eagle 314 or Coachmen 312bhds depending on your towing vehicle.

As is the case with Skyline. Aljo, Aluma Sky, Ecocamp, Koala Super Lite, Layton, Nomad, Park Villa, Retro, Skycat, Walkabout and Weekender are all made by Skyline.

I own the Skyline Nomad 297 which is the same trailer as the Layton 298. We have had no problems with ours that could be blamed on the manufacturer or the sub-manufacturers who produce appliances, frames, axles, etc.

I will have to look them up. It is tough finding what we want because so many manufacturers have multiple lines.

If you like the Jayco White Hawk 30DSQB floor plan, you should consider a Skyline travel trailer with the same floor plan. You should look around for either a Layton or Skyline 298. Skyline builds quality. Look around the internet for complaints -- they're hard to find.

We have a shadowcruiser 280qbs and we really like it. The one thingmwemwished was the quad bunk house to slide giving the kids more room. The year after we purchased they came out with one that had a slide. We kicked ourselves. Anyhow, something for you to research. Not sure what the number is for the unit that slides.
