I know, right? Like metering out 11qt 24oz of oil in an engine that basically takes 3 gallons?
Merry Christmas!

I get my oil changed at Jiffy Lube and check it before I leave the store. My truck has an capacity oil pan so I want to make sure they don't just put in the recommended amount.

I open the hood on my truck every 25000 km and after putting in fresh oil I run the engine for a minute while I check for leaks, check the oil level and I'm good for another 25000 km.

Do ya dump in the reccomended amount of oil, put the cap on, slam the hood down and takeoff?
Or do you check to make sure it reads right on the dipschtick?
