Who checks their oil?
After doing an oil change? Do ya dump in the reccomended amount of oil, put the cap on, slam the hood down and takeoff? Or do you check to make sure it reads right on the dipschtick?

Just want to help Grit get to 10 pages....I change my own, and do check as to amount I put in, compared to level on the dip stick. I only do this once, with each new vehicle. Now just drain oil, change filter, add 7 quarts, slam hood and done. I always park in garage when home, so I'd notice a leak happening.
