Yup! Another tire thread!

Traveling Sunday in heavy freeway traffic, the motorhome ahead and to the right of me blew a tire causing him to swerve across the freeway and left a tire sized "welt" across my Jeeps front end. To be fair, I know nothing about how the other driver maintained his tires, but he will buy a $300 tire and I'll likely end up paying the $500 deductible on my repair......??? Duh! All because he most likely couldn't be bothered with checking the pressure in his tires.

Moral of this story----Check your tires EVERY trip for everyone's safety!
  • Something bad happened to me - must have been somebody elses fault... Even Forrest Gump is smart enough to know that Sh.. happens. Now did you take your own advice and check your tires?
  • There's more to the story..... But the point is more important than the story..... A reminder for everyone to check faithfully!
  • So the possibility that he hit a hazard in the road is out of the question?
  • And did you stop and get his name and insurance? He or his insurance should be paying for damage.
    Did you check your tires?
  • Glad you weren't a fatality. Some tires appear fine and will do a sudden de-lam with no warning.
  • Glad both of you are unhurt...but, how do you know that he didn't bother to check the pressure in his tires?

"All because he most likely couldn't be bothered with checking the pressure in his tires."
  • The moral of the story should be get a tpms and then you won't need to check air pressure every time you move. Or while your moving. jmo
